The Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (PDMU) is a one-year postgraduate distance-learning course (from November to the following month of September) for General Practitioners who wish to develop their skills in medical ultrasound, thereby reaching high professional working standards.
It is the qualification of choice, for physicians wishing to establish themselves as GPs with a special interest in medical ultrasound.
Applicants for the PDMU need to have access to ultrasound device, either in a medical ultrasound department or in their surgery department.
The PDMU is awarded to those candidates who have reached a satisfactory standard in both the on-line assessment and the final examination.
